Hi Geoff, your academic writing on Mariana's work is very impresive, and I am so sad I wont be able to see the exhibition as I am writing my final essay for the end of this year's project (which it happens to be also about altarpieces). I really agree on your comments which made me think that altarpieces are not only ment to be for devotional worship but also to express the feelings of the artist.
